Ly Thai Dung at FSP

Returning from the 34th Hong Kong International Film Festival the great Vietnamese DP Ly Thai Dung stopped by the FSP for a talk with K5 on Tuesday 30 April 2010. He was nominated for the Best Cinematographer Award in the 4th Asian Film Awards (scroll down for all awards and winners), for his work on Bui Thac Chuyen‘s second feature film Choi Voi. Phan Dang Di, screenwriter for Choi Voi, who teaches in the Film Studies Program, was also nominated this year at AFA.
The award for the Best Cinematographer at AFA went to Cao Yu, who shot City of Life and Death (China). That movie also won for Best Director, Lu Chuan. The Best Screenwriter Award went to the wonderful Bong Joon Ho, for his feature film Mother, co-written by Park Eun Kyo, who wrote the groundbreaking Crush and Blush.
